ABSTRACT
The objective of this paper is to evaluate the influence of workload and leadership style on the performance of the technical field facilitators (TFF) and its effect on job satisfaction as demonstrated in the Community-Based Infrastructure (CBI) Sanitation Program under the supervision of the Agency for Building, Infrastructure and Regional Planning, Aceh Province. CBI Sanitation program intends to supply sanitation facility to the poor community in the region through a participatory process. While the role of the TFF is quite significant in helping these communities, these people encounter a number of issues such as high workload and uncooperative leadership. This study, therefore, seeks to determine the influence of the workload and leadership styles, both directly and in tandem, as well as the influence of the TFF performance on job satisfaction. Using a quantitative comparative causal research methodology, the paper analyzed the responses from 40 TFF respondents from the Aceh region. Linear regression was used in analyzing the data collected. From this analysis, it is clear that the workload and leadership style have considerable influence on TFF performance, which again influences job satisfaction. These findings will form the basis of policy recommendation concerning the effectiveness of the CBI Sanitation program.
